This was a lucky recording. I attached two contact microphones to a still, which was a challenge in itself as they are hot, and my usual electricians tape was melting and peeling off and I was struggling to get a good contact, but I managed to get them connected in time to capture this part of the process. I'm still not sure what happened but it sounds like some kind of pressure release and then you can faintly hear the liquid moving around. It is the closest I got to recording whisky being made!
